REK ONE COMPANY LIMITED (R1) is a Private Company Limited
by Shares, wholly owned by Tanzanians. The company is registered
under the Companies Act, Cap. 212 of 2002, and complies with all
regulatory requirements of the Business Registration and Licensing Agency
(BRELA) and the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA).
REK ONE COMPANY LIMITED is registered as a Building and Civil
Contractor, executing construction works in Tanzania.
The company was incorporated on 1st August 2019 and registered as a Civil
and Building Contractor. Since then, it has successfully executed several
construction works, including Government, Private, and Individual projects
across various regions of Tanzania.
Our head office is located in Mwanza, Ilemela Municipality, Plot No.
851 Block J, Buswelu, Sabasaba – Buswelu Road, beside ASHICO OIL.
Our branch office is located in Dar es Salaam, Ubungo Municipality,
Plot No. 808, Block A, Sinza Makaburini, Sokoni Street, Sinza Ward,
along Igesa Road.
Our company is specialized in providing services in Engineering, Planning, Design, Management, and Construction of Civil and Building works. Other services and works include:

01 Jan 2025 at 12:00pmWe hired Eng. Elius for construction of a private residence. We were very involved in the process and his team did high quality work in a timely manner for good value. One of the aspects of working with Elius I appreciated most is his forthrightness and accuracy in budgeting and estimating. Not only did he always keep to his labour agreements, but he was also very accurate with material estimates. When we purchased roofing sheets, lumber, tile, cement etc the amounts he estimated generally matched the need of the job. Much of the work was finishing and his technicians were reliable including gypsum, plaster, plumbing and electrical. (We didn't have any electrical shorts or issues nor leaky pipes nor substandard cement work, all of which are common and friends of mine have had hassles with when building). REK One even had someone on site full time for security and material management and we were fortunate not to have any loss of materials. While we did have some snags, REK took responsibility to resolve them. They also worked collaboratively with carpenters and a metal fabricator I had direct agreements with. Before initiating finishing, one of their architects developed a full detailed 3D rendering, which I do recommend. To take their service to the next-level, I might suggest improving on-site supervision by reliable foreman, or possibly an interior design professional, for coordination of the different technicians, forward planning/foresight and adherence to detail design drawings. Simple things like coordination of placement of switches and taps could have prevented some mismatching. Our agreement with REK was a labour agreement and we were responsible for materials. I felt the quality reliability of some materials could have been better and while that was our responsibility, we were sometimes following the advice or referral by the contractor. He did seem to be responsive to this feedback. Again, I have to emphasize, REK One built an excellent house for us in Mwanza with a Western/American design and feel including open floor plan, excellent natural cross ventilation, good natural lighting, and very spacious. The form and function are ideal with lovely verandas tempering the hot afternoon sun and offering comfortable usable outdoor spaces for both leisure and utility. He did share some creative solutions including using laminate board for the veranda ceilings. We also fixed screens on the outside of steel framed windows for best sealing the place against mosquitoes and pests and for an open-air feel. Many of our design decisions were creative and different than current fashion in Tanzania and REK one was supportive and worked with us on them.
